Botswana Health Data Collaborative (BHDC)


Is a joint effort between the government, private sector, development partners, civil society and academia to build capacity to track progress towards the health related sustainable development goals (SDGs) and universal health coverage (UHC).
Works together with existing associations and structures to streamline efforts in resource sharing and national health reporting to improve the economy and the health status of Batswana.


Aim of BHDC


To strengthen national health information systems and health data quality through joint capacity building and tracking progress towards SDGs.

Objectives of BHDC:
  1. Enhance country level capacity- enhance country capacity to monitor and review progress towards the nation health indicators and SDGs through better availability, analysis and use of data.
  2. Improve efficiency and alignment of investment in health data systems through collaboration with other stakeholders.
  3. Increase impact of global public goods on country health data systems through increased sharing , learning and country engagement
